NYCA-ZFP Call for Application

The Network of Youth for Climate Action Africa (NYCA Africa) is looking for Young Leaders to lead the respective Zonal Focal Points across Africa(East, North, South, West, Central). The Zonal Focal Points (ZFPs) will be responsible for coordinating projects and activities that will be carried out by Thematic Focal Points (TFPs) across each zone, and many other responsibilities.

Eligibility

Must be a youth (less than 35 years)

Must be a member of NYCA Africa (via the sign up link below)

Have interest in Climate Action and Advocacy

Have Strong Communication and Coordination Skills

Must be a citizen and residing in any country within the Zone

Must be ready to Represent NYCA Africa on all platforms

Background

The Network of Youth for Climate Action Africa (NYCA Africa) is an institutional mechanism to enhance inclusion and accessibility for the youth climate movement in local and national climate and environmental actions and decision-making processes. NYCA Africa aims to provide an official avenue for youth-led organizations, individuals and civil society organization to participate in concrete actions and policy despite their geographic location or resource constraints. At the same time, it aspires to be a hub to share resources and expertise and provide financial, technical and knowledge resources. We aim to contribute to building a unified and collaborative movement in Africa that delivers a high positive impact across Africa and the Global South.
